Is EnCap seeking 2,000 units?

Controversial developer looking to squeeze as many units as possible with no solutions as to traffic, density and school-age population!

Sources close to NA TODAY now claim that the final agreement between North Arlington & EnCap will include a provision that would give the developer the option to add an additional 375 housing units that will increase the overall number of units to 2,000!

With no plan in place to accommodate the some 500 school-age children anticipated should the current deal on the table meet with council approval, a plan to build 2,000 units could increase the total number of new residents to 5,000 and swell the local school population by as many as 800 new students!

While EnCap works furiously to get council approval, Councilmen Steve Tanelli and Peter C. Massa appear ready to oppose the project.

"It seems EnCap and their team of lawyers have done everything to get the best deal for EnCap. What has North Arlington received? This agreement is simply bad development with too many homes, too many people and too many costs that will be assumed by homeowners. When this is all said and done, the infrastructure costs and impact on essential services will be well over $50 million dollars," said one disgruntled taxpayers.
